Feb 1 at 2pm- Basic Photography at UGA Botanical Gardens with Rocio Lomba.
Feb 1 at 3pm- Family/Personal Portraits at UGA Botanical Gardens with Rocio Lomba. Bring personal props for your unique family portrait! Space is limited to 8-10 groups, 15-20 min per session!
Feb 2, 16, & 23 at 2pm- Lemonaid Sunday Distro at Lot E06. Join Lemonaid Mutual Aid to Organize and distribute meals, clothing, & supplies to unhoused communities around Athens. We will meet in lot E06 on UGA’s Campus (free to park on Sundays) and carpool to various locations to distribute. Fel free to bring donations of your own but we will have plenty as well. Feb 5 at 6pm- Visible Mending Party at Creature Comforts (271 W Hancock Ave) with May Hitchings. Bring an article of clothing that you want to mend and any patch material you want to share!
Feb 12 & 26 at 7:30pm- Yoga Nidra with Ellie. A 50 minute guided meditation to create a deep state of relaxation. Bring a yoga mat, clothes, and bring props (pillow, blanket, mask, etc) that make you feel comfortable!
Feb 16 at 3 pm- Art in the Park at Bishop Park with Erin. Come play and create with us!
Feb 16 at 6pm- CIA Simple Sabotage Field Manual with Steph. Come learn a little history in this book report style discussion of a declassified documents written in 1944. Please RSVP for location.
Feb 23 at 2:30- Basics of Mending and Hand Sewing at ACC Library with KB McCrum. Beginner level farming, and basic patching for clothing (running stitch, back stitch, whip stitch, and chain stitch). Bring anything you’d like to patch. Masks may be required if requested by participants.
March 2, 4-5pm - Getting to Know your Brushes, Paints, & Paper at KA Art Shop (127 N Jackson St.) with Kristen. Increase your knowledge of art supplies with a run down of popular paint types, brush shapes, & paper styles. This space is located on a second floor with 23 stairs. Come dressed in clothes that can withstand a little paint. Parking is FREE downtown on Sundays!
